After JJ’s victory, Austria will host Eurovision next year. The organizers have already announced the preliminary dates for the song contest.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 ended in Basel, Switzerland, with Austria’s JJ winning with the song Wasted Love. This means that Austria will host Eurovision 2026.
The organizers of the contest have now announced the probable dates for the next show. According to the Eurovisionworld website, the semi-finals and grand final will traditionally take place in May. Two possible options are being considered:

The final dates may depend on the schedule of major sporting events, in particular the finals of the Champions League, Europa League and German Cup, which also fall in May.
As for the host city of the contest, seven Austrian cities have so far expressed their desire to host Eurovision:
Vienna
Graz
Innsbruck
Linz
Wels
Oberwart

The official venue will be announced in July 2025.
At the same time, 12 countries have already confirmed their participation in the 2026 contest. Among them are Austria, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Malta, Montenegro and Serbia.
It was previously reported that this year’s Eurovision winner Johannes Pietsch expressed his desire for the 2026 contest to be held without Israel’s participation.
